With recent England wins against Wales and France, the thrilling St Helens vs Leeds Rhinos BWSL fixture live on Sky Sports, and the Nines Finals Day now on the horizon, it’s exciting times for Women’s Rugby League at all levels.
The first prizes of the Girls Rugby League 2022 season will be up for grabs over the course of the week as both the Yorkshire & North West cup finals take place.
We get things underway on Wednesday 29 June with the Yorkshire Cup final, at the home of Bronte Barbarians in Castleford – the undefeated Shaw Cross Sharks will meet Greetland All Rounders in a 6:30pm kick off.
The North West Cup final will follow on Saturday 2 July when Halton Farnworth Hornets face off against Warrington Wolves as part of the Halton Farnworth annual rugby gala, with the game set for kick off at 11:30am before a full day of games, activities and more.
The winners of each regional final will secure their places in the War of the Roses on Sunday 17 July at York City Knights’ LNER Community Stadium, forming part of a hugely exciting day for Women’s Rugby League as it precedes the U16 Premier League Grand final before York City Knights take on Huddersfield Giants in the Betfred Women’s Super League.
Congratulations to Shaw Cross Sharks, Greetland All Rounders, Halton Farnworth Hornets and Warrington Wolves for making it to the regional finals!
