Leigh ran in eight tries as they maintained the pace at the top of the Betfred Championship with a 52-20 victory over Barrow.

Edwin Ipape touched down twice for the Centurions at the Sports Village with further tries coming from Kai O'Donnell, Joe Mellor, Ed Chamberlain, Mark Ioane, Krisnan Inu, James McDonnell and Aaron Smith. Inu added eight goals for Adrian Lam's dominant side, who remain five points clear at the top.

Josh Hardcastle burrowed over eight minutes from time as second-placed Featherstone snatched a 20-16 win at Widnes.

Jake Spedding's length-of-the-field interception try – his second score of the afternoon – had put the Vikings in front just moments before.

Rovers, who had also trailed 12-6 at half-time, scored earlier through Junior Moors, Connor Jones and Jonathon Ford. Widnes' Ryan Ince claimed the first try of the game.

James Saltonstall scored four tries as Halifax moved above Batley into third on points difference with a 34-18 victory over the Bulldogs at The Shay. Joe Arundel and Will Calcott also touched down in a convincing win for the Panthers. Jonny Campbell scored two of Batley's three tries but was sent off late on for fighting.

Tries from captain Anthony Thackeray – his second of the game – and Mikey Wood saw Sheffield snatch a 38-26 victory over Whitehaven at Olympic Legacy Park.

The Cumbrian side, for whom Karl Dixon scored a hat-trick, had led 26-24 just after the hour-mark. Cory Aston was also among the try-scorers on his 100th appearance for the Eagles.

Bradford turned on the style in the second half to run out 48-18 winners over Workington at Odsal.

The Bulls, who trailed 8-6 at the break, scored seven tries after the restart with George Flanagan Senior helping himself to two. Kieran Gill marked his 100th appearance with a try and Dec Patton finished with eight goals.

York produced a strong second-half showing to win 22-10 at Dewsbury. Full-back Matty Marsh crossed twice to secure the victory after the score had been locked at 6-6 at half-time.

Paul Ulberg scored three times and Will Lovell twice as London Broncos ran in nine unanswered tries in a 44-0 win at Newcastle.
